Per FDA Regulations, pets are not allowed in the blueberry fields. However, we have a nice picnic area where one of your party members can wait for you to finish, and you are welcome to have your pet in that area.
Blueberries come in many different varieties, which ripen at various times throughout the season.
Our early season berries are a larger berry, but tend to be a bit more tart (sour). Many people prefer these berries due to their size, as they are great for fruit bowls.
We have several varieties of mid-season berries, which vary significantly in shape, taste, and color. Most tend to be sweet, mid-sized, or very sweet but much smaller in size.
Our late season berries are primarily sweet and mid sized. If you are picking the berries yourself, the berries of this variety are commonly found more on the inside of the bush, but are extremely plentiful once you get in the bush and start picking.
Yes, this is one of many benefits of picking your own berries. We won't weigh you on your way in or out of the field. You are free to eat as many berries as you would like while you are in the field itself.
There is nothing that makes us happier than seeing kids and adults as well coming out of the fields with big blue smiles. Bon appetit!
